Tucson, Ariz. (October 2, 2017) – Veteran National Transportation (VNT), a leading non-emergency medical transportation service company and a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) announced a multi-market partnership with Envoy America, a comprehensive ridesharing program that offers accompanied transportation and extra assistance for seniors and patients.
With compassion for serving others, both companies have recognized that the contributions of their talent and technology, when combined, brings the greatest value to those that they love to serve.
The alliance was built from both company’s strong commitment and experience serving veterans. VNT and Envoy America first partnered in Dallas, where both companies operate. Tucson was selected as the second partnership location based on Envoy America’s track record of success in the market. In the Tucson area alone, more than 80% of Envoy America’s transports are of Veterans and more than 30% of its drivers are themselves Veterans or are parents/spouses to military personnel. VNT is owned and operated by Nicholas Price who served in the US Navy and is service disabled. Both companies also have similar “Veterans First” hiring policies.
“Envoy America fills an important gap in the transportation of Veterans and seniors that are no longer able to drive themselves and who need some extra assistance,” said Nicholas Price, President of VNT. “Envoy America has an excellent track record in serving Veterans which is of course close to my heart, and their 99% on-time success rate for picking up patients is truly unusual in our industry so it demonstrates how well the company is run.”
“We met Nicholas and his team after Envoy America began operations in Houston where VNT is headquartered earlier this year and partnered with them in Dallas when we launched there a couple of months ago,” said K. C. Kanaan, CEO of Envoy America. “Our companies share the same commitment to Veterans and our services are completely complimentary so we decided to team up in Tucson and to work together as we bid on Veteran related contracts and as we expand into additional cities across the U.S.”
