CALISTOGA, Calif. (April 2, 2026) – Helix Electric (Helix), a leading electrical contractor with over 3,000 employees and over $1 billion in annual revenue, has passed the 50% completion milestone on the $500 million Rosewood Calistoga project while also beginning construction on the Napa First Street development. The combined luxury hospitality projects represent over $750 million in investment and will create significant tourism revenue for the Calistoga and Napa communities.
The milestone achievements demonstrate Helix’s expanding capabilities in luxury hospitality construction and the company’s strategic growth in Northern California’s high-end resort market. The Rosewood Calistoga features 20 private villas with 96 guestrooms across 15 separate buildings on a 118-acre hillside estate, while the Napa First Street project includes a 161-key luxury hotel and 78 branded residences. Both projects showcase complex electrical installations requiring specialized expertise in luxury hospitality buildings.
“Reaching this point on Rosewood Calistoga represents a significant achievement for our team and reflects Helix’s growing leadership in luxury hospitality construction,” said Matt Liefer, Operations Manager for Helix Electric. “These projects require precision electrical work that integrates seamlessly with high-end amenities, spa facilities, and sophisticated building systems that create the ultimate guest experience.”
Helix is partnering with general contractors Layton Construction on the Calistoga project and Build Group on the Napa development. The Rosewood Calistoga project employs approximately 50 electricians and features the vision of renowned architect Ed Tuttle, brought to life by design studio Atelier Marsh. The resort will open in early 2027, followed by the Napa First Street project in late 2027.
“These luxury resort projects position Helix as the go-to electrical contractor for Northern California’s most prestigious hospitality developments,” said Matt Snyder, Director of Preconstruction at Helix Electric. “Our expertise in complex building systems and commitment to quality execution makes us the trusted partner for developers creating world-class destinations that will attract visitors from around the globe and boost local economies.”
The projects will significantly impact their respective communities through job creation, increased tourism revenue, and economic development. The Rosewood Calistoga will transform the forested ridgeline into a luxury retreat steps from downtown Calistoga, while the Napa First Street development will enhance the city’s hospitality offerings with branded residences and premium hotel accommodations.
