About the Peñasco Business Coalition.
Peñasco Business Coalition was founded by local property and business owners to promote travel and tourism in Puerto Peñasco, Sonora, Mexico, particularly to Americans living in the southwestern United States. The organization’s stated goal is to drive American tourism and travel investment in the popular beach community on the Sea of Cortez.
10 to 1 Public Relations has the depth and breadth of experience you need to define, plan, and execute strategic communications that reach and exceed your goals.
Our Goals.
- Generate awareness for the safety of the community amidst reports of violence in other parts of Mexico.
- Promote travel to the region throughout the year to Arizona residents.
- Highlight members of the Peñasco Business Coalition.
- Disseminate travel information during the coronavirus pandemic.
What We Did.
10 to 1 Public Relations worked with business interests in Puerto Peñasco to found the Peñasco Business Coalition as a collective strategy to promote travel to the region.
Over the course of a year, 10 to 1 PR generated more than 100 media features in targeted media outlets promoting travel to and safety of the region. 10 to 1 PR developed positive relationships with local officials, including the Mayor of Puerto Peñasco, to invite as a spokesperson on behalf of the Coalition.
10 to 1 PR worked with primary members of the Coalition to promote these individual businesses as part of the broader plan to promote the region. This included generating stories for a brand new and modern condo complex that has been under construction, and announcing different phases of construction milestones to generate excitement for the new development.
As the coronavirus pandemic spread across the globe in 2020, 10 to 1 PR shifted our strategic communications plan as governments enforced stay-at-home orders to reduce the spread of the virus. 10 to 1 PR shifted the strategy to share information about Rocky Point’s phased reopening plan as progress was made against the virus.
