What We Did.
10 to 1 Public Relations identified a unique opportunity to build a media relations campaign around the fact that Forrest Anderson is a woman-owned company in an industry where fewer than 3 percent of HVAC and plumbing companies are women-owned. This strategy allowed Forrest Anderson President Audrey Monell to share her expertise with the local community and broader industry, generating dozens of media stories and features year-over-year. Audrey was even featured on the cover of leading industry publication Plumber Magazine.
To build further goodwill for Forrest Anderson, 10 to 1 PR designed an annual contest that the company would run called the Military Hero A/C Giveaway where the company would donate a new HVAC unit to a deserving Veteran. Introduced in 2015, the annual contest has generated new media opportunities with Phoenix’s news organizations and created a positive reputation for the company particularly within the Veteran community.
10 to 1 PR has helped Forrest Anderson maintain a high level of trust with its customers and the general community through strategic awards and recognitions. 10 to 1 PR was successful in getting Forrest Anderson nominated and recognized as a Finalist for the BBB Torch Awards for Ethics. Forrest Anderson President Audrey Monell was also recognized by the Phoenix Business Journal as an Outstanding Woman in Business.
10 to 1 PR also generated trust for Forrest Anderson’s services by scheduling media interviews to share helpful information about plumbing and HVAC tips. Because Forrest Anderson spokespeople did not have much experience speaking with journalists, 10 to 1 PR would work with the assigned spokesperson to train them and offer talking points so that they were well prepared to deliver the right message.
